Fort Myers Christian School (FMCS) is a ministry of
First Assembly of God Ministries. First Assembly of God is located at
4701 Summerlin Road, on the south side of the campus. The school was established in 1979.
Mission Statement
FMCS works with the home and the church to academically train and spiritually nurture students to become productive citizens in society and impact others for Jesus Christ. FMCS offers the opportunity for a Christ-centered education to students Pre-K3 through 8th grade. Graduating students have been accepted at a variety of local high schools including Bishop Verot High School, Canterbury School, Evangelical Christian, Southwest Florida Christian Academy and the IB program at Ft. Myers High School.

FMCS is accredited through the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS,
www.fcis.org) Other local schools accredited through FCIS: Canterbury School, Naples Community School and Seacrest Country Day School (Naples).
Membership
FMCS is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI –
www.acsi.org) Other local schools associated with ACSI: Southwest Florida Christian Academy, Port Charlotte Christian School, and First Baptist Academy of Naples.
Admissions
FMCS admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities made available to students of the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarships, financial aid, athletics, or any other school administered programs.
Curriculum
Examples of curriculum offered - Biblical Choices for a New Generation, Summit Ministries, Abeka, Houghton Mifflin, Scott Foresman, Silver Burdett, Bob Jones University Press, Zaner Bloser, Glencoe and EMC Paradigm.
Additional Programs
Weekly chapel services, art, computer, Spanish, physical education, music, Powerline Remedial Reading Program, Accelerated Reader Program, National Junior Honor Society (grades 7-8), after-school program, annual eighth grade missions trip to Mexico, and middle school sports program (members of the Suncoast Junior High Sports League). We are also proud to say that in the last two years, three of our middle school students (Caleb Boulton, Alex Felice and Grace Mathis) have joined 200 other middle school students from throughout the United States at the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in
