Our Second Year 1980-1981

In this ad, we see that First Assembly of God plans to build a new church sanctuary. The original architectural design called for a moat around the church and a large spire.

Students and teachers had a large thanksgiving celebration. Students and teachers dressed in traditional costumes, ate food that they had helped to prepare such as turkeys cooked over an open barbeque pit, and slept overnight in tents and teepees. They also made time period arts and crafts such as hand-dipped candles. This tradition started in 1979 and continued with some modifications until 1987.
