Principal Dale Moncrief's message from our first yearbook after losing the high school, published in 1990

The 1989-90 School year has been the greatest challenge of my life. But, I have seen God do wonders through the faculty and staff, the parents, and the students themselves. It has been my privilege to serve in a place where people are so determined to accomplish what God wants to see done in the lives of young people. If we don't invest in and prepare our young people today, how will they affect their generation tomorrow? We at FMCS are making eternal investments today.

Assistant Principal Mel Mitchell's message
from the same yearbook.

If any words could summarize the Ft. Myers Christian 1989-90 school year, it would have to be: God is faithful. Every page of this yearbook signifies an answer to prayer. You can see the work of the Lord in our staff, faculty, and students. Go back and take a look at the faces. The Lord has had his hand over this school

It was a "different" atmosphere in the beginning of the year without the high school. It was so quiet that it was scary. The "new peace" that rested over the school was credited in part, to the great group of students that were enrolled this year.

The activity highlights for the year revolved around food, fun, and fellowship. The elementary classes were treated to seasonal parties wit the help of involved parents. We couldn't forget the look of grandparents when they came in to see the "next generation" of youth for Christ. The teachers will always remember the unifying spirit of the FLAGS convention. The middle school enjoyed a great homecoming, with an all-night lock-in a the rec center. The memories of great times are only beginning.

As we look forward to the future of Ft. Myers Christian School, we pray that we will help the children to realize the importance of Christ in their lives. Education without Christ is a waste of time. We want our kids to enjoy their time here and leave with a desire to serve God. We are thankful that we can put out this yearbook as a testimony of what God can and will do.
