For twenty years, First Assembly has been committed to leading the children of Southwest Florida into an excursion of exciting learning. Over that period of time, hundreds and hundreds of youngsters have found the joys of discovery. They have also received strong support in moral choices and mature behavior. Our congregation is truly thankful to the Lord for this privilege that has been ours to present this kind of ministry to our area. As you can see by the picture, we are soon going to build a Children's Center. The center is urgently needed, but we will build it only as we have the cash funds available. Please pray with us that First Assembly will continue to be used of the Lord to further benefit our most sacred heritage, our children.

The original drawing for the Children's center which was finally built in 2002-03. This design was given up all together and the design that was actually built was adopted two years later.

A large celebration marking the 20th anniversary of the school was held in the school gymnasium in the spring of 1999. Pastor Rick Heers (left) the founder of Fort Myers Christian School and Pastor Shelton Gwaltney (right) the current principal sat next to each other on the dais. Also in attendance was Mr. Dale Moncrief, our third principal. Our second principal, Dr. Charles Kendrick was not able to attend.
