Our
twenty-fourth year was a year of construction. A model
of the future Children's Center was built and put on
display in the lobby of First Assembly of God Church. |

The
groundbreaking took place in January 2002. This is a
poor photo of Pastor Betzer and the church council
turning over the first shovels of dirt. |

By mid-summer
2002 the building was really looking something like a
child's erector set gone bad, but as finances came in,
the building continued to progress. |

In the late
fall of 2002 the Children's center was finally looking
like the architectural drawings had depicted. |

The building
was finally finished, but not furnished, in the spring
of 2003. |

Sunday school classes and the church
began to use the building right away. However, except
for chapel services, the school did not move in until
the fall of the 2003-04 school year.
