Long
time faculty member and former assistant principal Mr.
Mel Mitchell became our fifth principal in August of
2004. |
| Mrs. Denise Encarnacion continued as assistant
principal overseeing primarily the elementary school. |
| Hurricane
Charlie blew through town and left all of us feeling a
little displaced. Armed National Guardsmen could be
seen on every major street corner directing traffic,
nightly curfews were enforced, and neighborhoods went
for days without electricity. |

Long
time band director Mr. Joe Buncie passed away at the
beginning of the school year. |
| A
unique community and missions minded school-wide
project called Missions 25:40 was started in the fall.
Every grade adopted a community project or mission to
support financially and prayerfully throughout the
year. The first grade chose the Salvation Army. They
collected cans for the Salvation Army food drive, and
then visited the warehouse where the canned goods are
stored. |
