Two
Fort Myers Christian School teachers received a big
surprise when a camera crew from Fox 4 and the
Christian Chamber of Southwest Florida visited their
classrooms. We were the only school with two finalists
in the top ten for the Golden Halo Award (over 100
application were judged): Mrs. Jennifer Crouch (7/8
language and Bible, nominated by Miss Emily Hardy) and
Mrs. Lee Mitchell (7/8 history and Bible, nominated by
Miss Rachelle Radford and Miss Jessica Mabrey.)
Both teachers were very surprised! |
Pastor
Brian Finger, a staff pastor of our home church First
Assembly of God, became an administrator to help with
finances and budgeting. Mr. Mitchell, flew solo as the
only principal on campus. Students and teachers were
amazed at how often they saw him even though he was
monitoring the elementary building and the middle
school building. |
The
middle school chorus went to Universal Studios in
Orlando, FL for the choral competition with Music in
the Parks. The chorus received first place for the
mixed chorus Middle School division! |
